When I showed up at crossfit I thought I was in decent shape even though I had gone through 2 knee surgeries on the same knee in the space of about 15 months. It turned out that I was a mess physically according to Jake and I couldn’t even do a proper squat. More importantly, I couldn’t move well in certain directions as a result of the 2 surgeries. Now after 6 months, I am moving better I ever have and I'm in the best shape of my life. Not only can I do squats, I can do multiple sets with weights equaling my own body weight on my back. I have also lost 10 pounds and have added plenty of muscle mass. Had I not met Jake, I'm certain my knee would not have recovered properly and I think my tennis playing days would be over. If you are willing to work hard you will see amazing results.

I have been a client of Jake Platt for two years. During that time my physical well being has constantly improved. Jake added Cross Fit regimens to his practice over the past year. Cross Fit has literally turbo charged my level of fitness like nothing else I have experienced. My strength, stamina, coordination and all around fitness are at a higher level than I ever remember..... and I am 64. I believe that anyone who puts in the time and effort and has a trainer like Jake will experience absolutely life changing and youth enhancing results.

Crossfit has changed my life. Ten years of running distance events, five years of triathlons, and I have never really known what it meant to be fit until I came to Crossfit. After three months of Crossfit, I’m running and cycling better than I ever have and doing it injury-free. More importantly, my whole attitude about setting goals and pushing my limits has changed. I appreciate you pushing me to “step it up”. I’m the strongest I’ve ever been, physically and mentally, and I know that where I am now is just a start. Instead of getting older, I’m getting stronger. Thanks so much!

Hey Jake,
This is a thank you for the hardcore training in preparation for my firefighter exam. Even though I got into Crossfit NW a little under the wire as far as training time was concerned, it only took a week of workouts for me to start imagining the test as another workout. I was nervous before the test but after the first few seconds on the clock my nerves left and I knew I was going to pass. Then, it became a competition to see what time I could get. I might have been able to pass without setting in foot in Northwest Crossfit but there's no way I would have had such confidence and I don't think I would have shaved a minute and 17 seconds off my initial practice time. Looking forward to more of the same!
Thanks, Brett

Dear Jake and Alex,
I want to thank each of you for training me and some of the other members of the Bad Boyz tennis team. This past weekend, we were crowned National Champions! The 2008 USTA National Championship was held September 26-28, 2008 in Tucson, AZ. Crossfit-Tennis conditioning played an integral part in our team’s run to to the National title. The National tournament was conducted over three days. We played six matches over the three days in a very demanding climate (high 90’s each day) against the country’s best competition. I, personally, think the demands of Crossfit, provided us with a physical and mental edge over our opponents. Like you said, all things being equal, the stronger athlete will prevail. Our coach remarked on several occasions before Nationals and at Nationals that he could see a positive difference in our performance on the court. He noted that we got to a lot more balls, that before Crossfit, we would not have been able to reach. Crossfit became our war cry during practices and matches whenever one of our players made a great shot. After this weekend, I suspect that there may have been a spike in the number of hits for “Crossfit” on Google by our competition wondering what Crossfit is all about. Thanks again for opening up Crossfit to our team!
Robert Chung,
Captain Bad Boyz Tennis team

Hi Jake
I have some great news! So I was in the fall tournament which has everyone from the western region playing. I was seeded number one in the tournament in singles and doubles…and WE WON! The tournament was amazing! I won the singles and my partner, Kelley Fox and I won the doubles. Yesterday I played 10 sets, which is pretty much unheard of. I had two three set matches for the semi-finals and finals of my singles. Then we had two doubles matches where our final match went to three sets. We did not leave the tournament until 7:45 pm. It was a great day! Now, I am paying the consequences because literally my entire body is sore. Since we won the tournament, we now get to go to Alabama where there is a national tournament with all the number one girls in each region, and there are eight regions. I play singles and doubles. Everyone at the tournament was asking either my parents or me if I worked out this summer. Everyone was amazed at how much better I have become. I played so much yesterday, I was very tired and sore, but I could have kept on playing, thanks to your help! Literally, you have no idea how much pain I am in even at this moment, sitting and typing this to you! Thank you so much for all your help. I would not have won this, or have even been ready to compete as much as I did this weekend, and still be alive, if it was not for you!
THANK YOU
Liz Lewis
